Kanye West returned to X early Tuesday morning with a flurry of provocative posts, targeting a range of prominent figures in the music industry, including Kendrick Lamar and, Playboi Carti.

The tirade began with West expressing his dislike for Kendrick Lamar’s Drake diss, “Not Like Us,” stating, “I HAAAAAATED NOT LIKE US.”

In a separate tweet to a X user, West appeared to mockingly plead with Lamar to diss him: “KENDRICK PLEEEEASE COME DISS MEEEE ON BEHALF OF LUCIEN GRANGE PLEEEEEASE,” West tweeted, seemingly referencing Universal Music Group’s CEO.

These comments follow West’s previous public declaration that he “doesn’t like Kendrick Lamar’s music,” an opinion he shared after Lamar’s appearance on three tracks from Playboi Carti’s latest album, “MUSIC.” “I DONT LIKE KENDRICK LAMARS MUSIC. HE RAPS VERY GOOD BUT I DIDNT NEED TO HEAR HIM ON CARTI ALBUM,” West had tweeted.

As of now, Kendrick Lamar has not responded to West’s provocations.

Beyond Lamar, West’s social media spree targeted a diverse group of artists. West also called out his former G.O.O.D. Music signee Pusha T, his Vultures collaborator Ty Dolla $ign, and Playboi Carti who bore the brunt of West’s criticism

West accused Carti of excluding him from his album while simultaneously seeking a feature from West’s daughter, North West.

“HEY NORTH YOUR DAD GAVE ME MY BIGGEST SONG AND CO SIGN AND I LEFT HIM OFF OF MY ALBUM BECAUSE OF HIS TWEETS OH BUT NORTH YOU MY NIECE I GOTTA USE YOUR VOCALS,” West tweeted. He further elaborated, “I HELD MY TONGUE ABOUT MOT BEING ON CARTI ALBUM HIM GOING TO MY EX TO ASK MY DAUGHTER TO BE ON A SONG 2 DAYS LATER WAS TOO FAR NOBODY FINNA PLAY WITH.”

Playboi Carti and Kanye West have a long history of working together, which made it all the more surprising to fans when the mogul did not appear on Carti’s eagerly anticipated album, MUSIC. Addressing the omission, Ye claimed external pressures kept him off the project.

“Jewish business forced Carti to not put me on the album. Same thing happened with Trav.”

He also revealed that he and Carti had a collaborative project in the works, titled “Carti Ye,” which he now claims will not be released.
