Kanye West continues to stir controversy with his social media tantrums. In one of his many claims, the College Dropout rapper insinuated that JAY-Z might be plotting to harm him in retaliation for the inflammatory remarks he made about JAY-Z’s family.
He tweeted, “I KNOW JAY Z IS DRIVING AROUND LIKE DAMN I HAVE TO KILL KANYE,” implying that his words might have pushed JAY-Z to a breaking point.
He continued, “I know it’s going to hurt Jay-Z to kill me but somebody’s gotta do it.” West then added, “I also don’t want Jay Z to get in trouble for killing me maybe Drakes shooter Top 5 can come kill me.”
Beyond the sensationalism, Kanye expressed deep-seated resentment over what he perceives as betrayal by his former mentor. “I LOVE JAY Z AND I DO FEEL BAD I ALWAYS FELT LIKE THE BLACK SHEEP LIKE I WANTED FAMILY IN THIS MUSIC SHIT I’D RUN ON STAGES THINKING I WAS DOING THE RIGHT THING AND WOULD ALWAYS BE A SLIGHT HOV NOT COMING TO MY FIRST WEDDING HIM PUTTING KENDRICK ON THE SUPERBOWL OVER ME OR EVEN US NEVER BEING INVITED TO SHIT TAKING JABS ABOUT MY RED HAT ON DONDA,” he vented.
Kanye lamented that JAY-Z and Beyoncé, given their influence, could have offered him more support—particularly in his struggles surrounding his family and public image. Instead, he concluded bitterly: “SHIT HURTS SO FUCK BOTH OF THEM CAUSE WHEN I NEEDED THEM IT WAS FUCK ME.”
This isn’t the first time West has publicly made such accusations. In 2016, during an infamous Sacramento concert rant, Kanye similarly accused JAY-Z of harboring violent intentions, pleading, “Jay Z, I know you got killers. Please don’t send them at my head,” referencing strained ties after JAY allegedly failed to reach out following Kim Kardashian’s Paris robbery.
West’s relationship with Jay-Z and Beyoncé has been marked by both collaboration and conflict. Once considered Jay-Z’s protégé, their bond, highlighted by the “Watch the Throne” album, has deteriorated due to West’s increasingly erratic behavior. His recent posts included disturbing comments about Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s younger children, which he later deleted but reinforced with further insults.
While West’s latest claims are provocative, there is no evidence to suggest Jay-Z has made any actual threats. True to form, JAY-Z has remained silent, continuing his pattern of ignoring sensationalized headlines about him and his family.
