Kanye West has escalated his recent controversies with a bombshell interview, released Sunday, where he directly addressed his earlier inflammatory posts. Speaking with DJ Akademiks, West reignited feuds and aired personal grievances, targeting Jay-Z, Kendrick Lamar, and Kim Kardashian.
In the interview, West doubled down on his controversial statements, questioning Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl performance credentials and making a shocking admission about his marriage to Kim Kardashian. He also directly criticized Jay-Z, his former mentor and business partner, accusing him of profiting off his music. “F*** him… How much money do you think Jay-Z makes off my catalog versus what I make off it?” he fired off.
He also criticized JAY-Z’s role in curating the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show, which featured Kendrick Lamar as the headliner on February 9, 2025, in New Orleans.
“Why do they want Drake out of there? Why would you want somebody with no hits like Kendrick to do the Super Bowl?” West questioned, implying that JAY-Z was complicit in an industry effort to sideline certain artists while elevating others.
The interview took a deeply personal turn when West made a startling revelation about his marriage to Kim Kardashian.
“I didn’t want to have children with this person after the first two months of being with her. That wasn’t God’s plan,” he admitted, before launching into a tirade against celebrities who failed to support him during his legal battles over his children.

Tina Knowles Subtly Responds to Kanye’s Attacks on JAY-Z’s Children
This latest interview comes just weeks after Kanye made a disturbing post about JAY-Z and Beyoncé’s 7-year-old twins, Rumi and Sir, questioning their mental capacity. The now-deleted post sparked widespread backlash, and while JAY-Z and Beyoncé have remained silent, Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, appeared to respond with a cryptic Instagram post.
