Kanye West has once again ignited controversy with a series of now-deleted tweets targeting Beyoncé, Jay-Z, and their younger children, Rumi and Sir Carter.
The tweet, which many social media users have deemed as some of his most disturbing and offensive to date, continued West’s ongoing tendency to cross personal and professional boundaries in his public rants.
West’s outburst at the Carters began with an unprovoked tweet where he wrote: “NOW JAY Z AND BEYONCÉ ON THE OTHER END FUCK THOSE KOON ASS N*GGERS AND THEIR ENTIRE FAMILIES.”
Shortly after, West escalated the situation with another tweet, taking direct aim at the couple’s children. In the now-deleted post, he wrote:“WAIT HAS ANYONE EVER SEEN JAY Z AND BEYONCES YOUNGER KIDS THEYRE R*TARDED NO LIKE LITERALLY AND THIS IS WHY ARTIFICIAL INSEMANATION IS SUCH A BLESSING HAVING R*TARDED CHILDREN IS A CHOICE.”
West subsequently deleted the tweets, but followed up with a post that did little to mitigate the damage. He claimed the deletion was due to fear of account suspension, not remorse, and made a crude pun referencing Down Syndrome. He also mentioned targeting fashion designer Jerry Lorenzo’s family.
He wrote: “NEED EVERYONE TO KNOW THAT I TOOK THE POST ABOUT JAY Z AND BEYONCÉ’S FAMILY DOWN AND JERRY LORENZO’S FAMILY DOWN BECAUSE THERE WAS A POSSIBILITY OF MY TWITTER BEING CANCELLED NOT BECAUSE IM A GOOD PERSON I TOOK IT DOWN LIKE DOWN SYNDROME GET IT AM I RIGHT AM I RIGHT??? F*CK THE WORLD REAL TALK F*CK EEEEVVEEERREEE BODY.”

West’s relationship with Jay-Z and Beyoncé has been a rollercoaster over the years. Once a protégé of Jay-Z, whom he famously referred to as his “big brother” during their collaboration on the 2011 album *Watch the Throne*, West’s bond with the rap mogul has deteriorated significantly. Public fallouts, including West’s 2016 onstage rant where he accused Jay-Z of disloyalty and claimed the evasive couple refused to attend his then wedding to Kim Kardashian have marked their fractured dynamic.
In the past 48 hours, Kanye West, now legally known as Ye has lashed out at multiple figures in the industry, accusing them of being industry pawns and betraying him.
