Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign surprised fans with the unexpected release of “Vultures 2” on Saturday (August 3rd). The album arrived after multiple delays, leaving fans uncertain about its release.
Unfortunately, the surprise drop hasn’t translated into chart-topping success. HitsDailyDouble predicts “Vultures 2” will sell around 68,000 units in its first week, landing it at number two on the Billboard 200. This will end Kanye West’s impressive streak of eleven consecutive number-one albums.
Kanye West’s longtime rival, Taylor Swift’s “The Tortured Poets Department” is expected to hold the top spot for another week, with projected sales of 125,000 units.
“Vultures 2” is the sequel to the original “Vultures” album, which debuted at number one with 148,000 units sold and maintained its position for several weeks with additional sales of 75,000 units. The album also spawned the chart-topping single “Carnival” featuring Rich The Kid and Playboi Carti.
“Vultures 2” includes guest appearances from Lil Wayne, Future, Kodak Black, Playboi Carti, Don Toliver, Lil Baby, and more.
