Chance Perdomo Cause Of Death & Obituary

Chance Perdomo, the British-American actor renowned for his roles in the supernatural series “Gen V” and “The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina,” tragically passed away at 27 following a motorcycle accident.

Perdomo’s publicist confirmed the heartbreaking news to Variety, stating: “It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of Chance Perdomo’s untimely passing as a result of a motorcycle accident.”

The publicist concluded, “We ask to please respect the family’s wish for privacy as they mourn the loss of their beloved son and brother.”

Perdomo shared a picture on Instagram just two days ago of him at the gym, captioned “Haven’t started. Already exhausted. Whatever it takes, I guess.”

Early Life and Education

Chance Perdomo (October 19, 1996 – March 30, 2024) was a British-American actor, born in Los Angeles, California, and raised in Southampton, England. Holding dual citizenship, he proudly embraced his Latino heritage from his mother.

Perdomo attended the local Redbridge Community School and later Peter Symonds College in Winchester. Despite intending to study Law, he decided to pursue acting instead, moving to London where he trained at the National Youth Theatre and Identity School of Acting.

Chance Perdomo Movies & TV Shows 

Perdomo’s career began in British television, where he garnered recognition for his performance as Jerome Rogers in the BBC Three film  Killed By Debt, even receiving a BAFTA nomination. However, it was his portrayal of Ambrose Spellman in Netflix’s chilling series “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” alongside Kiernan Shipka that truly catapulted him to international fame.

His charismatic performance as Sabrina’s sardonic warlock cousin resonated with audiences worldwide. The series ran for four seasons from 2018.

Perdomo continued to build his resume with a role in Amazon Prime series “Gen V”, a spin-off of the popular superhero show “The Boys”. He played Andre Anderson, a student at Godolkin university with magnetic abilities, in the show’s first season. 

According to Deadline, production for the second season of “Gen V” was scheduled to begin on April 8 but has been postponed indefinitely.

Perdomo’s other acting credits include the romantic film trilogy of After We Fell, Midsomer Murders, The Cipher, Moominvalley and other projects.

How Did Chance Perdomo Die?

On March 30, 2024, the world was stunned by the unexpected passing of Chance Perdomo. The cause of death was confirmed to be a motorcycle accident. Perdomo was only 27 years old.

Tributes poured in from fans, colleagues, and the entertainment industry at large. The producers of Gen V released a statement on Saturday following the tragic passing of Perdomo. 

“We can’t quite wrap our heads around this,’ the producers wrote. “For those of us who knew him and worked with him, Chance was always charming and smiling, an enthusiastic force of nature, an incredibly talented performer, and more than anything else, just a very kind, lovely person.

We are so sorry for Chance’s family, and we are grieving the loss of our friend and colleague.”
