50 Cent Reacts to JAY-Z Sexual Assault Lawsuit: “Are We Still Having the Super Bowl?”

Must Read

You knew this was coming—50 Cent has weighed in on the latest controversy surrounding his longtime rival, JAY-Z. The G-Unit mogul, known for his outspoken personality and frequent jabs at the Roc Nation founder, has raised questions about the upcoming Super Bowl halftime show amid the recent allegations against JAY-Z.

The rapper’s comments follow a lawsuit accusing JAY-Z of raping a 13-year-old girl alongside Diddy in 2000. This comes on the heels of Diddy’s recent legal troubles involving allegations of sex trafficking. 50 Cent, who has a long history of feuding with both men, didn’t waste any time stirring the pot.

On social media, 50 Cent questioned whether the Super Bowl halftime show, curated by JAY-Z since 2019 as part of his partnership with the NFL, would still go ahead as planned.

“Ok, I don’t know what’s going on, but are we still having the Super Bowl? I’m just asking for a friend,” he wrote, taking a snide jab at the ongoing situation.

This isn’t the first time 50 Cent has taken shots at JAY-Z recently. Speaking on Hot 97, he mocked the Roc Nation boss for allegedly staying out of the public eye. “When’s Jay coming to Summer Jam? No brunch, no lunch, no dinner… it’s hot out here, man. You ain’t gonna see him nowhere,” he joked.

The Allegations Against Jay-Z

According to the civil lawsuit, the assault went down at a house party following the 2000 VMAs. The accuser, identified only as Jane Doe, claims that in 2000, she was dropped off at Radio City Music Hall during the MTV Video Music Awards. Without a ticket, she approached limousine drivers in hopes of gaining access to the event or an afterparty.

One driver, allegedly connected to Diddy, reportedly claimed she “fit what Diddy was looking for” and later picked her up after the event.

Jane Doe alleges she was taken to a house where she was made to sign a non-disclosure agreement. She recalls being offered a drink that made her feel light-headed, after which she lay down.

According to the lawsuit, Diddy and JAY-Z entered the room, with Diddy stating that she was “ready to party.” She accuses JAY-Z of removing her clothes and sexually assaulting her while Diddy and an unnamed female celebrity watched.

Both Jay-Z and Diddy have strongly denied the allegations, with Jay calling it a “Blackmail attempt.”

Super Bowl LIX is set to take place on Feb. 9, 2025, at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, with Kendrick Lamar headlining the halftime show.
